These tools combine to create a developer'sworkbench that draws on a sophisticated forms-based interface, ANSI-standard SQL, and a high-level, compiled 4GL.Based on the INGRES Forms Runtime System, the portable INGRES 4GLautomatically handles screen operations such as display attributes,scrolling regions, and function keys without any programming.
